According to a report in Corriere dello Sport, Italian powerhouse Milan are considering making a move for young defender Salvatore Bocchetti, currently under contract with fellow Serie A outfit Genoa.
New Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking to add some fresh blood to his back-line in the summer transfer window and the Rossoneri reportedly consider Bocchetti to be the perfect addition to their defence.
The 23-year-old defender is a product of the Ascoli youth academy and also played for Lanciano and Frosinone before joining Genoa in the summer of 2008. Bocchetti has since developed into a key player at the Grifone and has even made it into Italy's national side.
Genoa are keen to hold on to the highly rated defender, but Milan are ready to tempt the Rossoblu to part company with Bocchetti by including Czech Republic defender Marek Jankulovski in the deal.
The names of Ignazio Abate and Daniele Bonera have also been mentioned as players who could move to Genoa as part of an eventual deal.
