Luciano Moggi Tells Milan Patron Silvio Berlusconi: Spend Your Money On Buying Zlatan Ibrahimovic From Barcelona

Despite opposition from the player and his agent Mino Raiola, who on Thursday insisted his client was "staying in Barcelona" following rumours of a swap deal with Kaka of Real Madrid, Moggi feels president Berlusconi should coerce the Catalan side and jostle for a deal.

"The advice I give Milan is to do everything possible to take Ibrahimovic to Milanello," Moggi wrote in his Tuttomercatoweb.com column.

"He is the only player Milan need, but to land him they need to be wise, and this quality is certainly not lacking. A deal can be done, believe me.

"I heard what Berlusconi said about spending his €1.1 billion in 25 years of leadership, but some buys should have been avoided."

Adriano Galliani was probed about Ibrahimovic two weeks ago before the trail went cold, and he said the star was "too expensive" for Milan.

His €10m per annum wage demands and restricting transfer fee has scuppered interest from a plethora of clubs.
