Milan - Lecce 4:0, Allegri delighted

Milan tactician Massimiliano Allegri has spoken about the process he went through to become the Rossoneri coach, after the side's 4-0 win over Lecce.

Allegri also described the atmosphere surrounding the arrival of new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"The first contact with [vice president Adriano] Galliani was made on May 18, and nothing prior to this," the boss explained to Sky post-match. "The arrival of Ibrahimovic has created lots of enthusiasm around the place, but the side before this was ready to play a strong match.

"Playing against a newly promoted team first up is never easy, but we were good enough in both defensive and offensive aspects. It was a good match even if we are not in peak physical condition. An error every now and then is normal during this time.

"Ibra will help us take another step in improving our quality players, but we would have done well in the race for the Scudetto without him," summed up the coach.
