Milan Make Move For Real Madrid Midfielder Mahamadou Diarra

Massimiliano Allegri has asked Milan for a midfielder and Adriano Galliani has wasted no time in calling Real Madrid for Mahamadou Diarra, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The new coach was horrified with Milan's friendly loss to Varese on Sunday, complaining that the midfield was "short". Having given the team a quick check over, Allegri is now asking for the Real Madrid middle man.

Diarra is no longer part of future plans in Madrid, and Galliani's good relations with Florentino Perez could set the move in motion. He is expected to open a dialogue with the Merengues and make the early enquiries.

But should that move prove groundless, Milan will turn to Napoli's Manuele Blasi, who has been tipped to leave the Vesuviani.
